This novel could be categorized as a “minty rom-com” or a closed-door romance with the door cracked open. It incorporates Christian themes, especially Catholic views on prayer, marriage and family, discernment, and chastity. This book also includes heavy innuendo and discussions of sex, chastity, fertility awareness, and natural family planning, as well as some semi-steamy and fade-to-black love scenes, implied nudity, crude humor, and mild language; however, there are no sexually explicit scenes or detailed descriptions of “spice.” If it were a movie, it would probably be rated PG-13.
